Adonia Daniel, seen here with Sister Agnes, has been one of our residents since September, 2006. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, he moved to Iran as a small child and continued to live there through most of his adult life. Adonia had a number of interesting careers before moving to the United States. He owned and operated a small fleet of 18-wheeler trucks, bought & sold persian rugs and was a teacher of languages including Assyrian, Persian, Arabic and French.

A couple of those pristine rugs are proudly displayed in his well decorated studio apartment. He enjoys having visitors to show off his room.

After moving to Turlock in the 1980s he owned and operated a Shell Oil gas station for several years. He and his deceased wife had three sons & two daughters. One of his sons lives in Sonora. Adonia enjoys living at Saint Thomas and is particularly pleased with how "understanding" the staff is of their residents and how "clean" they maintain the facilities.
