Eddie Zoma is a native of Baghdad, Iraq where one of his counsins was a founder of the Sisters of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Conception, the order of nuns that owns and operates St. Thomas Retirement Center. This was the major reason why he selected our facility.

Eddie is a retired pharmacist who spent much of his professional career in the Detroit area. He and his wife lived together at St. Thomas until her medical condition required more intensive care. He then moved with her to a nursing facility until her death. He returned to St. Thomas in September, 2005.

Eddie was quite a long distance runner when he was younger and was the founder of the "Eddie Zoma Running Club." He was very competitive at the 10K level. He particularly enjoys St. Thomas because of his lifelong relationship with the nuns.
